Qi Wang Lou Binguan
Once good enough for the Qianlong emperor, it's now good enough for party luminaries, though it's less expensive than this would suggest. Peacocks roam the gardens of this courtyard-style hotel, doubtless more relaxed than they were during Qianlong's time. Standard hotel interiors have been recently renovated, and there are yet higher standards in a new building, opened in 2004. Inexpensive bike rental is offered, an excellent way to explore the town. Avoid the diabolical Western breakfast.
