The Pizzeria
Located on the second floor of the Kowloon Hotel (just behind The Peninsula), this casual and bustling dining hall with large windows is one of my favorite places in Tsim Sha Tsui for a relaxed meal at good prices, especially when I want great pizza or pasta in a classy venue but don't feel like getting dressed up (you won't however, want to wear shorts; it's a white-tablecloth kind of place even at lunch). With an a la carte menu that changes often, it offers a dozen different combinations of pizza, as well as pasta dishes like herbed pasta with homemade Italian sausage, porcini mushrooms and pecorino cheese and main courses like roasted rack of lamb with mustard and herb crust on a pumpkin and potato purée with a lentil red-wine sauce. Save room for dessert -- they're all delicious. For the budget-conscious, there's a fixed-price lunch Monday through Thursday. Incidentally, to reach The Pizzeria, you have to walk through the Window Café, which specializes in international buffets.
