Anyuan Miao (Temple of Distant Peace)
Built in 1764, this is another example of architectural diplomacy, built in imitation of a temple (now long-vanished) in Yining on China's remote western borders to please Mongol tribes who were resettled around Chengde. You'll almost certainly be the only visitor.
