The Imperial City is a section of the city of Beijing in the Ming and Qing dynasties. It refers to the collection of gardens, shrines, and other service areas between the Forbidden and the Inner City of ancient Beijing. The Imperial City was surrounded by a Wall and accessed through six gates. With this tour you can have a comprehensive view of Beijing within a day.

Beijing Feelingwell-trained English-speaking tour guide will pick you up from the hotel at 8:30 in the morning. Drive to the Tian’an men square-one of the largest squares in the world, which can accommodate 1 million people for public gathering. You will walk directly into the Forbidden City after 30 minutes touring around the Tian’an men square. Forbidden City used to be the living residence for the Emperors (24 emperors totally) in the Ming (1368-1644) & Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, occupies 72 Hectares (180 Acres). It takes 2.5 hours for visiting.

Traditional Chinese lunch will be arranged at around 12 o'clock noon.

In the afternoon, visit the Summer Palace-the largest imperial gardens exists in China, long corridor & marble boat will impress you a lot. Then drive to the Temple of heaven after 1 hour visit in the Summer Palace. The Temple of Heaven (1 hour visit) used to be the place for the Emperors to perform. worship to the God of heaven and prayer for good harvest in the Ming & Qing dynasties.

Get back to the hotel at about 5:30PM.

Hotel pick-up again at 6:30PM drives to the theatre for the Kong Fu show (7:20PM-8:3020PM)--one of the oldest performing arts in China.
Drive back to the hotel.
