Dining in Jyekundo's most upmarket eatery is done in private rooms -- not really suited to the solo traveler. But those with a few friends will enjoy lavishly painted rooms, friendly service, and (if you wish) karaoke. A famished tour group might try tackling thehao kao quanyang(roast lamb) at ¥350 ($44), or perhaps would just settle for akao yangtui(roast leg of lamb) for ¥80 ($10). Other local favorites include thesuanla fentiao(sour and spicy vermicelli),yangpai(rack of lamb), andhuayu(a river fish).
