Tulufan Dafandian (Grand Turpan Hotel)
The rooms are some of the best in town, but the service could possibly be the worst in town. This hotel recently experienced a change in its management (it was formerly Hong Kong run), and as a result the front desk is terribly managed and has problems dealing with even the smallest request. Spacious rooms in the new wing with clean bathrooms meet four-star standards; dorm beds are clean if not a bit pricey. Don't get this confused with the Turpan Hotel, which is a lesser operation that is popular with backpackers.
