Noodles are the specialty of this perpetually full Hui-run establishment, found east of the main T-junction, just up the hill on the left (north) side. Easily identifiable by the yellow sign boasting two yaks, this strictly meat-and-pasta affair offers good value with such dishes as cold mutton and beef ribs, ¥18 ($2.25) and ¥20 ($2.50) per half-kilo (1.1 lb.) respectively. The deliciouspaozhangandganbanare similar spaghetti-like dishes, both covered in a beef-and-vegetable sauce. Local traders taking a break from the nearby caterpillar fungus market frequently stop in, offering you an excellent chance to observe the art of Kham debate up close and loud.
