Ataichi Canting
The original dinner and dance restaurant for the locals is feeling the competition from Shiji Xing; call ahead to see if it's open. Although its underground location keeps it cool, there is a dungeon-like feel to it, and the print of a whole roast sheep sitting contentedly on a tablecloth in a meadow may be enough to convert you to macrobiotics. Busiest on Friday and Saturday, the banquets (minimum six people) are an excellent way to try a variety of foods without wearing out your phrasebook.
