The British Chamber of Commerce in China presents:Breakfast with Digby Lord Jones,
UK Minister for Trade and InvestmentTUESDAY, 20 NOVEMBER 2007One of the most interesting and exciting Ministerial appointments made by Gordon
Brown when he became Prime Minister was that of Digby Lord Jones, until recently
Director General of the CBI, as Minister for Trade and Investment. Digby Lord Jones
of Birmingham, as he is now called, brings a wealth of business advocacy experience
to his new role and his own special style.
Digby Lord Jones, a frequent visitor to China, will be paying his first visit in
his new Ministerial role in November. He will address a British Chamber breakfast
on 20 November about his vision for his new role and what he and UKTI can do to
support UK business in China and the wider world. Those who have heard Lord Jones
speak before will know that he is a lively interlocutor so we are leaving plenty of
time for what we anticipate will be a lively Q and A session.GUEST SPEAKERDigby Lord Jones (Minister for Trade & Investment)Digby Lord Jones was appointed Minister of State for Trade and Investment at the
