The world's largest food exhibition center will be built in the Guangzhou Free Trade Zone. As an international platform for the exchange of food, the center will provide one-stop import service for international food enterprises. Every week an international food carnival will be held and the center will open 365 days a year. The center is expected to be included in the Guangzhou one-day tour program.
With an area of more than 8,000 square meters, the 3- story International Food Center will complete decoration and perform test operation in July. Currently, the project is going smoothly and has more than 10 international companies interested in cooperation, including enterprises from Southeast Asian countries, Italy and France.
General manager of Waston Food Company, designing company of the project, said that as a unique Free Trade zone of China and the most convenient gateway to other regions of China and Asia, the Guangzhou Free Trade Zone is an excellent location for the establishment of a global Food Exhibition Center.
The first batch of exhibiting items of the Center will mainly focus on leisure products, convenient foods, candies, chocolates and biscuits. Major terminal customer will be young and middle-aged people. Together with large domestic supermarkets, the center will establish imported food chain shops nationwide. By then, consumers can enjoy more variety of imported products with lower prices. Since prices of most imported food in supermarkets currently are very expensive, the Center will import bulk of food materials, processing and packaging in the Guangzhou Free Trade Zone. So costs will be greatly reduced and prices are much cheaper. It is undoubtedly a blessing for snack food lovers.
