Lao Zheng Xing
For a fun and authentic experience, head to this cafeteria located in Confucius Temple. In true state-owned fashion, diners go to the cashier to trade money for paper tickets, before heading to individual stalls where the tickets can be redeemed for an array of snacks, including steamed dumplings and glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo leaves. The best part is just being able to point to what you want. The adventurous should try the duck-blood vermicelli(yaxue fensi).
