Opened in 2000 1km (1/2 mile) north of the city center, the Sheraton may be the most attractive of Chengdu's luxury hotels. The lobby's fountain and large floral arrangement give this spot a warmer ambience than the standard hotel, and the front desk staff is amiable and efficient. Although the standard rooms aren't as spacious as those at the Holiday Inn, the cozy decor is more inviting. Many of the rooms have separate bathroom and shower.
