Formerly a run-down student dormitory, the Magnolia has been transformed into a great-value boutique hotel by an Australian entrepreneur with an eye for detail and a knack for getting the best out of local staff. A number of tour companies are already using the Magnolia as their number-one choice, and it is easy to see why. Four floors are built around a bright, spacious atrium, with rooms that are equally bright, and outfitted with supercomfortable king-size beds.Tip:Ask for room 307; it's much larger than the rest and boasts it own private patio garden.
