Taoci Bowuguan (Museum of Porcelain)
"China is one of China people's contrivance," says an introductory sign helpfully. This old-style (dusty, ill-lit) museum sets out 1,000 years of Jingdezhen production, beginning with early shards, proceeding through modest examples of blue-and-white, five-color, and other wares, and ending with the gaudiest although technically impressive modern productions (a vase of flowers in which every single petal, including those of a wilted chrysanthemum, is ceramic, for example).
