Indian software giant - Satyam Computer Services Ltd. has officially set up its China R & D Center inTianheSoftwarePark, the first Indian enterprise to do so inGuangzhou. This symbolizes the beginning of full cooperation between theGuangzhouand Indian software industries.
Earlier this year,Guangzhousigned an agreement with Satyam on this cooperation. Mayor Zhang Guangning and Mr. BRamaRaju, Co-founder and CEO of Satyam attended the signing ceremony.
As a leading company in global consultation and information technology service, Satyam has hired up to 400 local Chinese employees since it entered theChinamarket in 2002. The newly established Guangzhou R & D Center will work as an inshore facility to Satyam Hong Kong and SatyamJapanwith the expectation of 1,000 employees by 2010.
The Head of SatyamChinasaid: "The launch of Guangzhou R & D Center profits from the high efficiency of theGuangzhougovernment, whose support is very inspiring".
