Li Jiang Waterfall Hotel (Li Jiang Da Pubu Fandian)
This extravagantly over-the-top five-star -- note the enormous man-made waterfall (72m/236 ft. wide*45m/148 ft. high) -- aims to be Guilin's first choice in accommodations. Rooms are large and luxurious enough, but the service is not yet up to the standard of its Western-managed competitors. For now it caters more to northeast Asian tour groups, but special deals are often good enough to entice independent Westerners away from the Bravo and the Sheraton.
