Chinese-American Mayor, Liu Jialin, of the city of Saratoga, California, USA, called on Dalian with her retinue, aiming to inspect the development of high-tech industry and to negotiate further cooperation with Lvshunkou District. On May 21st, Mayor Xia Deren met the delegation led by Mayor Liu Jialin of Saratoga City in the VIP conference room of Dalian Municipal Government.
Saratoga City, one of the most favorable habitat cities in the USA, is situated in Silicon Valley area. Its urban per capita income ranks top ten in all American cities. Mayor Liu Jialin is a Chinese-American, the first female Chinese-American mayor of Saratoga, assumed the office in 2007.
In the meeting, Mayor Xia Deren introduced the development of Dalian High-tech and software industry, delivered the hope to strengthen the exchange and cooperation with Saratoga City and Silicon Valley area of the USA, and extended warm welcome for more American high-tech enterprises to come to and invest in Dalian City. Mayor Liu Jialin said, Dalian is an energetic city and has great development prospects. Deputy mayor Xing Liangzhong attended the meeting.
