Dalian government has approved totally 12,082 foreign invested companies to set their branches in this coastal city, of which 84 are top 500 enterprises of the world, according to the statistics showed in February, 2007.
A total of 27 cities from 18 countries have friendly cooperation relationship with Dalian city, and some even become sister cities of Dalian.
The foreign tourists' throughout of the city's airport ranks the fourth place in China, listing after Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
