Mason Hotel (Meichen Dajiudian)
This modern, comfortable hotel has an unbeatable location right next to a subway station at the busiest intersection of the Huaihai Lu shopping area. Facilities are adequate if not exactly luxurious. Rooms, arrayed around a bright and pleasant atrium courtyard, are fairly large with uninspired but functional furniture and comfortable beds. There is free broadband Internet access in all rooms. This was a popular choice for tourists from Southeast Asia when the hotel was newer and had bigger discounts. It's still a reasonably priced choice for the area.
