An exhibition especially for expatriates will be held in Shanghai this September.

The Expat Show Shanghai, organized by the France-based World Events Agency, covers almost every aspect of expat life, including financing, pensions, recruitment, health, education and travel. Admission to the show, from September 21 to 23 at the Shanghai Exhibition Center, is free.

Organizers said 150 exhibitors from around the world, including Citi Bank and Air France, will participate.

Activities include a video game show and a nursery for children aged three to six.

Workshops will be organized in rooms that hold 150 people. Subjects such as work environment and company issues will be highlighted.

The exhibition will include the launch of the first edition of the Shanghai Explorer Residents' Guide. Written by and conceived for expatriates, the 200-yuan (US$26) book covers aspects of moving to and living in Shanghai. It will be updated every six months.

About 500,000 expatriates now reside in Shanghai.
