Youtai Xin Huitang (Jewish Synagogue)
Once the center of Harbin's vibrant Jewish community that numbered around 20,000 during the early 20th century, this three-story temple underwent an extensive renovation and reopened to the public in 2005. Today, with few Jews remaining in the city, government officials turned the synagogue into a contemporary art museum featuring Jewish and Russian artists.
