Located in the heart of the commercial and shopping district, this latest addition to the five-star hotel scene, recently upgraded from the four-star Holiday Inn, is popular with Western independent and business travelers. Rooms have a slightly claustrophobic, dark feel as windows are small, but they are well furnished and the beds are fairly luxurious. Views of the sea are especially fine. Service here is better than at the pricier Shangri-La. With six restaurants on the premises, the hotel also has some of the most diversified dining choices; the Italian restaurant offers some of the best western food in town.
