Strictly prole dining by way of Southwest China, this small eatery in the Raffles City shopping complex offers typical Yunnan staples likeguoqiao mixian(crossing-the-bridge noodles -- various meats, vegetables, and noodles cooked in a piping-hot, oil-layered broth),qiguo ji(chicken steamed with Chinese herbs), and evenda jiujia(rice-flour pastry stir-fried with meat and vegetables), seldom seen outside Yunnan Province. The food is not the most authentic, but it seems to satisfy the Shanghainese curiosity about minority cuisine.
