Plagued by tour groups (mainly from mainland China), this China-owned business hotel underwent recent renovations that delivered a crisper, cleaner image and is now focusing on attracting a Western rather than Asian market. Conveniently located in the heart of Wan Chai, it offers small but adequate accommodations (none with views) divided into five categories of rooms, based on decor and floor level. Standard rooms are run-of-the-mill, while the best rooms are located on higher floors with an updated contemporary look, including beds with sheeted duvets and bed runners. Best of all are those on the executive floor, with wall-mounted LCD TVs, glass-walled bathrooms, and either Japanese- or Western-influenced decor.
