Kaifeng Binguan (Kaifeng Hotel)
This is hands-down the best choice in town. Situated in a courtyard with a variety of rooms to fit different budgets, this hotel offers a charming environment and friendly service. The building in the center of the courtyard was a Buddhist nunnery in the early 20th century and is now a protected landmark; the rooms in this building are nice, though a bit gaudy in style. The hotel's best rooms are in the slightly less historic building 5, each room recently remodeled and outfitted with sleek white armchairs and modern beds. The bathrooms are sparkling clean and feature massaging shower heads. For a slightly cheaper room, but with cheesy decor, ask for a room in building 4. Note that this building is branded under the name "Jiali Ju," or "Grand Land Hotel," though it is owned and managed by Kaifeng Binguan.
