Online tutoring from Native Chinese Speaker of Three Dialects (Graduate in Chinese Linguistics and Literature)
Courses and Methodologies:
(1 hour free trial lesson, Lessons are via Skype, msn or yahoo message, 40RMB/hour.)
My courses are dynamic, meaningful and engaging. You can choose an individual course or you can mix courses together.
For example, in one course, you can learn about Mandarin, Cantonese, and Chinese culture at the same time. In a word, it depends on your interests and level of motivation. Please be aware that personal consultation is also available.
Mandarin courses:
Level one (for the beginners): Teaching in Pinyin, focusing on Chinese phonetics and tones, characters, words and sentences in common use.
Level two (for the intermediate or advanced learners): conversations concerning daily life, progressively developing communication skills in regard to various daily life topics, like shopping, taking a taxi, booking hotels…etc.
Cantonese courses:
In structure the Cantonese classes are basically structured the same as the Mandarin.
Chinese Cultural Enrichment courses:
If you don’t have the desire or patience to learn the Chinese language, but just want to know something about China , I would advise you to choose this course. I know that there are many foreign individuals who would love to develop a greater insight into one of the world's oldest and most significant cultures, so this would be for you!
This type of class is highly interactive, educational and provocative and can be tailored to the student's interests.
All teaching is in English, any topics about Chinese culture, history or literature, such as: history, archeology and stories about the first emperor in China, the thoughts of Confucius or Laozi, different Chinese philosophical systems, women’s history in China, the history of dress in different dynasties…anything about China's brilliant 5000 years’ history. The course can even include teaching you some Chinese pop songs, simple poems, cool words, set phrases or idioms… Discussions concerning Chinese food, novel, traveling, movie, martial arts…
I feel that I have developed a wealth of knowledge concerning my country's culture and language and I would love to share it with you!
