The Chunyi, built in 1909, is the least impressive of the former Yamato Hotels, and is attractive now only for its convenient location just across the street from the railway station. The original gate is still here, but the exterior is crumbling and the interior retains only a whisper of history. Rooms in the main building, renovated in 2004, are clean and tidy. At press time, rooms in the adjacent tower were undergoing renovations, and already renovated tower rooms were available at a discount.
