A new touristy shopping district called Gudai Wenhua Qu (Gudai Culture Area) should be open by the time you get here. For specialty snacks from Henan, visit theKaifeng Tutechan Shichang(open 8:30am-9pm), on Long Ting Xi Lu, near Songdu Yujie. Goodies includehuasheng gao(peanut cake) andxingren cha(almond tea), which is more like a gelatin than a tea.
