With the confirmation of The Kingdom of Denmark and The Sultanate of Oman of its participation, 132 countries and 17 international organisations had accepted invitations to attend the World Expo 2010 Shanghai by 12 June.
World Expo 2010 Shanghai organisers yesterday took their Expo promotion campaign to the China-Japan-Korea Industry Fair being held in Seoul.
Wan Jifei, chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended the opening ceremony of the fair.
Wan said Korea and Japan are China's neighbors and important tourist sources. So the Expo organisers chose the fair as an important stop in the event's overseas promotional tour.
CCPIT would cooperate with Shanghai and hold other promotional campaigns in six countries this year, said Wan.
The organisers will also talk to Korean media tomorrow about the latest progress of preparations for the World Expo 2010.
The industry fair has been organised by CCPIT, the Japan External Trade Organization (Jetro) and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).
More than 300 companies are taking part in the four-day exhibition.
Other events include, business alliance symposium among China-Japan-Korea, investment presentations from China-Japan-Korea, presentation on parts purchasing policies of large enterprises from China-Japan-Korea and an economic delegation exchange meeting.
