With its imposing location, the Garth seems to dominate the entire main square and it is difficult to find any courtyards more pleasant than these. Rooms are clean and comfortable but it is the courtyards where you can sit outside, that are more important in Li Jiang. Staff can be somewhat elusive, spread out among all the courtyards, private dining rooms, and small gardens. The best part is the viewing terrace that looks directly out over the water wheels and the main square.
