The 30-story Y-shaped Garden Hotel is a Chinese five-star colossus with every imaginable facility, and easily the grandest lobby in Guangzhou (reputedly the largest in Asia). Its level of service is among Guangzhou's best, and its rooms are slightly more imaginative than the China Hotel's.Tip:The road outside, Jian She Liu Mallu, is infinitely more interesting to shop than the hotel's shopping arcade, with a number of popular coffee shops ranging from Starbucks all the way down to the tiny but reliable Peoples' Cafe tucked away on a side street.
