Idkah Mosque (Aitiga'er Qingzhen Si)
More of a relief from the bustling market than an attraction in itself, the prayer hall and leafy courtyard of Xinjiang's largest mosque (ca. 1442), the heart of Islamic Kashgar, can house up to 20,000 worshippers. Whether that would make a dent in the crowd outside is doubtful.
