Beijing(Expatscn.com)-A seminar providingtheaudience with a wide-ranging understanding of the current China financial services industryandbusiness environment was held on June 26 at Capital Club, Beijing China.
    Richard Kimber is a lawyer who has practicedforthe past seven years in Shanghai primarily advising clients working in the financial, insurance andtradesectors. He said China's regulatory environment isoneof the top challenges to doing business in China. Most of those in his survey list unclear regulations, foreign ownership restrictions, bureaucracy, and transparency as the principal problem areas. 
    Peter Humphrey is the founder of ChinaWhys who aims to promote transparency and business ethics for MNCs in China. He provided discreet risk mitigation solutions and suggestions to those who want to invest in China.
    The seminar held by The British Chamber of Commerce in China. More than 50 people attended.
   
       Expatscn.com特别报道: 6月26日晚，中国英国商会在京城俱乐部举行了关于中国金融服务业对外商的机遇和风险的主题演讲。来自China Acumen公司的负责人Simon Stokes先生认为，中国的金融业对外资而言，有许多风险，其中包括监管相对比较严格，对合资股份不得超过50%的限制，开展中国国内人民币业务的限制等等，中国金融服务业将逐渐完成WTO的过渡期，对外国投资者而言，风险与机遇并存。
    来自 ChinaWhys公司的Peter Humphrey先生则关注在中国做生意如何避免被欺诈，他认为当前的中国大陆，很多人都被一种即时发财的观念所主导，加上中国发展阶段的特点，使得外资在中国做生意面临着被恶意欺诈的可能。他认为外国投资者在投资之前应该多方调查合作方的公司背景、股东情况，甚至决策人的社会关系，乃至该公司所做的最后一笔交易的情况等，以最大限度获得投资安全。
    来自英国和中国大约50多名中外人士参加了这次系列主题演讲，演讲得到了参与者的热烈欢迎。
