The prize for Xinjiang's bestsamsa-- a package of lamb and spices baked in pastry -- is safe with this delightful open-air restaurant, the last in a line of eateries with blue awnings. Customers queue up for some time waiting for them, so be patient. The kabobs and nan are also excellent if you're short on time. The slightly sweet medicinal tea is common to many restaurants, and the tea leaves(jiankang cha)can be purchased from theUighur Hospital,Jiamai Lu 2.
