This apathetic two-star hotel on the far side of town offers slightly more comfortable rooms with temperamental showers that allegedly run for 16 hours a day. Just which 16 hours is a matter of speculation. Rooms in the newer wing are worth the extra outlay. The only excitement the last time we visited was an exhibition on ETHNIC SEPARATISM AND TERRORISM, enthusiastically attended by brigade after brigade of adolescent Han soldiers. The author missed an invitation.
