The memorial museum for Madame Soong Ching Ling has reopened in the city after renovations, with many valuable historic pieces being displayed for the first time.
Visitors can see Soong's letters to former Chairman Mao Zedong and Premier Zhou Enlai as well as her passport.
The new museum plays Soong's favorite songs. Some of her dresses and letters are also on display, said Lu Liuying, curator of the museum.
Soong is one of the three famous Soong sisters. She married Sun Yat-sen in 1915, founder of the Republic of China. Her sister, Soong May Ling, was married to Chiang Kai-shek, leader of the Kuomintang Party in the 1940s. Soong Ching Ling was known for her patriotism and charitable spirit.
