Changcheng Binguan (Great Wall Hotel)
A favorite with tour groups since 1987, this sprawling, comfortable three-star hotel, whose exterior is a tacky replica of the Jiayuguan Fort outlined in white Christmas lights at night, is probably the most used to dealing with foreign tourists. Service in the hotel is friendly and efficient, but they won't offer much of a discount in the high season.
