An exhibition on the torch relay of the Beijing Olympic Games was opened in the China Millennium Monument on Tuesday.
During the one-week exhibition, the visitors will have an opportunity to be photographed with the Olympic torch whose flame will start the next Summer Olympics on August 8, 2008.
Through the photos and objects on display, the visitors can discover the creative ideas behind the torches of previous Olympic Games and relay routes; the history about the Olympic torch relay from 1936 to 2004; the planned route of the Beijing Olympics, as well as the selection of the torchbearers for the Beijing Games. A total of 500 magnificent photos illustrate the cities on the torch relay route.
The exhibition will tour other provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, as well as some overseas cities on the relay route.
