Nikko Hotel Oriental Plaza Dalian (DongXu Huangchao Jiudian)
Formerly the Hilton, the hotel changed to Japanese management in 2005 but claims to have changed little else. Guest rooms are tastefully modern, decorated in solid colors with lots of glass. Bathrooms are somewhat cramped. Units at the top of the tower sway a bit in the wind, and traffic noise can be problematic, but the views are spectacular. Close to Zhongshan Guangchang, the hotel also boasts Dongbei's only Haagen-Dazs cafe.
