Camellia Hotel (Chahua Binguan)
Still the favorite of independent budget travelers but only because of apathy. This two-star is old and run-down but thrives on its longstanding reputation. There are older budget standard rooms that are smaller and more run-down, and basic dorms with shared showers that are in high demand among backpackers. The hotel offers an budget ¥10 ($1.25) Western buffet breakfast. The staff speaks some English and can be helpful when pressed although the travel agency receives varying reports. Look out for the huge solar farm planted on top of the front building.
