Fengyuan Canting
Extremely popular with locals, this restaurant serves creative cuisine in a traditional two-story Chinese courtyard-style building complete with lattice windows and upturned eaves. Menu items include the deliciousfengyuan doufu(tofu deep-fried in a batter of milk, eggs, and coconut),dajiujia(a rice-flour pastry stir-fried with ham, mushrooms, and vegetables), andgongbao tianji(kung pao frogs' legs). There are no menus in English, but the staff tries to be helpful.
